THE GATE PARK IS CLOSE TO THE FOLLOWING AMBITIOUS PROJECTS

FAB City - Fab City Project is described as an ambitious project that envisages creation of nearly 20,000 jobs in the sector of microchip manufacturing, establishing FAB City requires at least 1,500 acres of land, would generate about 1.5 million jobs by 2015.

The US-based SemIndia is a consortium of NRI entrepreneurs, technocrats and angel investors. SemIndia chose Hyderabad as the location in a closely contested selection process that included three Southern states - Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. The Andhra Pradesh government had come forward to provide subsidy, land, power, water and even accommodation in Hyderabad to key officials of the project's promoters, US-based SemIndia Inc and Advance Micro Devices (AMD).
Of $3-billion proposed investment, $1.5 billion will be debt, raised against capital equipment and the balance ($1.5 billion) will be invested by SemiIndia founders, partners like AMD, strategic customers, venture capitalists, state and central governments. The proposed FAB facility will have a capacity to produce about 30,000 wafers a month. Each wafer will consist of 100-1,000 chips. It can also produce a range of wafer chips. The proposed FAB City project - India's first semiconductor fabrication facility - will come up on 1,500 acres of land in Tukkuguda near the upcoming airport, about 20 km from the city.The FAB is projected to generate about 5,000 direct/indirect jobs in the next two-three years. FAB City, in turn, will create hundreds of thousands of jobs over a period of time when chip-design centres, processing and ancillary units are set up in clusters.The market size of the semiconductor industry is about $250 billion annually and has been growing at around seven percent per annum over the year


Shamshabad International Airport -Shamshabad International Airport is the largest airport in Asia with a span of 5,000 Acres. 23,000 crores has been alloted for development of airport zone. Work is to be completed by 2007. It has three phases. Phase I is domestic terminal. Phase II is cargo terminal and it is situated near Timmapur. Phase III is international airport zone. It is the biggest of its kind in Asia & will be a major development for Hyderabad as well as A.P.

MMTS Railway Station - The main MMTS Railway Station to cargo airport is in Timmapur. 230 Crores has been sanctioned for the development of Timmapur MMTS Railway station. Work is in progress at a very fast pace.



US consulate at Hyderabad - The US ambassador for India, David Mulford said that American Consulate is being set up in Hyderabad and will be functional from the year 2008.



Birla Institute of Technology and Science - Birla Institute of Technology and Science, is launching its third campus in India at Hyderabad. The BITS campus at Hyderabad will be spread over 200 Acres of land at Jawaharnagar near Shamshabad.

Longest flyover in Hyderabad - The longest flyover is coming up in Hyderabad to provide faster connectivity to International airport at Shamshabad. The flyover will run for 11.34 kms from Mehdipatnam to Aramgarh Junction on National Highway 7. The project is estimated to cost approx Rs 600 crore and would be completed by 2008.

Software Park - 5,000 Acres have been alloted for Software Park in Shamshabad. This will bring more MNC's to Hyderabad than Bangalore since most of the multi national companies prefer o stay in the vicnity of International Airport.

Hardware park - 5,000 Acres have been alloted 100 Acres for Hardware park in Shamshabad. This provides ample employment for thousands of people. This will automatically attract Multi National Companies to invest in this area. .

International University - 100 Acres has been alloted for International University in Hyderabad to provide qualiy education for international students. Every year about 10,000 international studens are expected to study in this International University. 150 Acres has been alloted for he Textile Park. It will provide Ample Business and employment for thousands of people.

Amusement park - Asia's biggest Amusement park is in international airport zone. This will attract thousands of tourists everyday.. The total budget for this project is about 500 crores
