Hyderabad City Police Commissioner transferred

Balwinder Singh to assume charge

The State Government has on Thursday transferred the Hyderabad City Police Commissioner AK Mohanty as Additional DGP (Law and Order). In place of Mohanty, the Government has posted Balwinder Singh who had been on central deputation and has since been repatriated. Six other senior IPS Officers were also transferred.
The Cyberabad Police Commissioner M. Mahender Reddy has been appointed as IG of computer services wing. Anti Corruption Bureau Director S. Prabhakar Reddy is the new Commissioner of Cyberabad. Santosh Mehra will replace Prabhakar Reddy in ACB.
SK Jayachandra who is the director of Police communications wing has been appointed as Director General (Prisons). IG (computer services) Vinay Ranjan Ray has been appointed as Director (Police Communications). IG (ISO) NV Surendra Babu will be the additional commissioner (co-ordination) in the city police.
